Trekked to this place that is often mentioned as a destination in Cotinou. Cab driver didn't know where it was and had to ask numerous times. On arriving found only thing open was the nice gift... more »

They have shut down the museum in the Cotonou branch and have not publicized this so if you go there expecting to see an exhibition you get shocked when I asked was told to go to Ouidah ! The place is just one room with no proper air conditioning. The directions on the website are also erroneous it says the place is opposite the central police station but that is is not where it is. Not a good experience over hyped for nothing.

The concept of Foundation Zinsou is amazing. Every 4 months, a new story is told with images and other materials. During my visit, the story was about African materials known as "Hollandis" and it was very informative. You need to understand French or go with an interpreter as the guide speaks just French.
