  • Trail was very clearly marked and easy to navigate. Be prepared to spend at least two to three hours hiking moving at a moderate pace and give yourself time to enjoy the spectacular views! Grab a guide book at the beginning of the trail to correspond with the number markers along the trail, this will give you history and facts about the forest.
  • Hiked the loop with my two year old on my back. Had a picnic at one of the lookouts. Entire hike with the break took about 3hrs. Went in mid august and there were quite a few mosquitos...few applications of repellent was necessary. Overall a fantastic moderate level hike. Interesting terrain with some elevation and root textures.
