  • Had a great 5 day Canoe Trip....Prices are a bit high in the park now admittedly. For a two week camping trip, expect to be out some serious pocket change. But its mostly a Provincial Park thing. Lots of tourists, lots of beginners....and a few of us old time campers and canoeists hanging around. Good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to experience Canada's wild life and nature. Ample mouse, black bear and aquatic wild life running around the park. Do your best to leave the next campers fire wood and a clean site in the park, and you'll likely always receive the same courtesy. Enjoy the park. Most Canadians from Ontario have camped here at least once.
  • Place is great to get your permit and have some questions answered about Algonquin Park. Some of the staff are more knowledgeable than others but overall I think they are great. Worst parts are the slow pace when there is only one person manning the desk and there are a few people waiting in line for permits because we all know there is a race against time as nobody wants to portage and canoe around looking for a campsite after dark.
