Beautiful park with lots of great site options. The lake has beach areas that are great spots to relax and swim for all ages. Make sure you bring a tube or something to float drown the river! Lots of great hiking and boating options throughout the park. We camped there with our 9 month old last weekend and loved every second. Compared to a lot of parks Samuel De Champlain is relatively quiet and the stars are INCREDIBLE on a clear night. All the staff we encountered we friendly and helpful.

We had a great time here. They don't advertise it, but the highlight was taking a lazy river/light Rapids trip down the river that bisects the park. Do yourself a favour and bring some tubes or a small raft along and enjoy the ride! Be sure to come early enough in the summer to catch the water levels high enough to shoot the Rapids. We also took in a voyageur canoe ride which the kids enjoyed and had some nice history. We will be back.
