  • We were able to take a tour around the park and go to the Plains of Abraham museum. The park was animated! Even in the middle of winter there were many activities (Skating and snow shoeing) not to men...  more »
  • The best place to Quebec City to play and playing in the snow during the winter. The Park is huge and beautiful.

  • It is above all a place highly symbolic but has become a place of outdoor activities. In winter, you will find skating on an outdoor ice ring. Open until 10 pm, lit. Available for free if you have your skates or rental equipment on site (for 2 hours). Ditto for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Parking is 24/24 7/7. Don't forget the beautiful panorama at the end of the Plains.

  • Amazing history, my family loved it. It was very cold but everyone had a great experience. Will be back in the summer.
  • This is a very nice place where you can have a wonderful view on St. Lawrence River. There is a lot of activities like cross-country run or the summer music festival. Plus, it's close to the old Quebec city, where there is a lot of diversified activities. You can also get down close to St. Lawrence River by the Escalier du Cap-Blanc.
  • Was pretty cool with the history of the place, not to much more. Good place to take a walk with the family
  • Great historical landmark with alot of fun activities like tours of ancient towers and weaponry.
  • Very beautiful, large park with sprawling grounds and a huge amount of history. Allow lots of time to enjoy it. It would be a great place to spend a sunny afternoon sitting in the shade on a blanket.

Where to stay in Quebec City

Most accommodations cluster on the west side of the St. Lawrence River, with the city's split-level old town offering the widest range of options and best access to top attractions. Stay in the upper town to be close to the castle and enjoy views over the river. What the lower town lacks in panoramas, it makes up for in historic charm and access to riverside cafes and restaurants. If you want a less-touristy experience, consider the up-and-coming neighborhood of St. Roch, whose cafes, bars, restaurants, and artistic spaces make it an alternative traveler's paradise.
