Liberty Square, Brno

#4 of 138 in Things to do in Brno
Landmark · Tourist Spot
Watch the legends of the city come to life at Liberty Square, which is dotted with medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings. Head to the top of the 63 m (207 ft) high tower of the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul for a view of the historical area. At the old town hall entrance, look for the town's well-known emblems: the Brno Dragon--the stuffed body of a crocodile that terrorized the citizens in the past--and a wagon wheel. Consider a stop at the capuchin crypt, then switch gears by picking up some fresh fruit or flowers at the cabbage market. Throughout the center, you'll find cafes, restaurants, and shops. • It's a beautiful square with shops, places to eat and rest! A lovely fountain on the side, beautiful old architecture around.
  • It's a center for relaxation. And most people spend all night here. Just try to get lucky and catch the pebble 😁
