Synagoga Turnov, Turnov

4.1
#8 of 9 in Things to do in Turnov
Landmark · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Dating back to 1719, Synagoga Turnov is a stone building erected in what was the corner section of the city's Jewish Quarter. The architecture remains an example of late Baroque in Bohemia. Look especially for the wooden tablets of the covenant, and the menorah. A gate below a stone staircase leading to the women's gallery will take you to a side courtyard, where you'll find a statue of the creature Golem.
