Trip Planner: Central America / El Salvador / San Salvador Department / San Salvador / Monsignor Romero Center
Gain a deeper understanding of the violent recent history of El Salvador at Monsignor Romero Center, where a group of priests was brutally murdered. Not for the faint of heart, the exhibition is unflinching in its photographic portrayal of the violence. Set in the grounds of the university, the eye-opening exhibition gives you an appreciation of the terrible nature of oppression and war. As the information on display is primarily in Spanish, a guide is recommended for those who don't know the language. The grave is ahead. Do you see a monsignor Romero lying in his last dream, and surrounded at 4 angles by 4 images, of little ones, of angels?

A real slap without which the collective development of this conflict could not be confronted
An Ideal place to learn about the lives of some of the Catholic Church martyrs killed during the armed conflict. The guides are highly trained and explain the story in a very clear and comprehensible way.
A place where there is a lot of history of El Salvador and our martyrs of the UCA, the six priests and two women killed in the war. As a student of the institution I feel is a fundamental part of what we are now.
