#19 of 836 in Things to do in Berlin
Get a bird's-eye view of Berlin from the top of Bar 203 in Berlin TV Tower, the highest point in the city. A symbol of Berlin since it was erected in the 1960s, this is the tallest structure in Germany. The tower is 368 m (1,207 ft) tall, with an observation deck 204 m (670 ft) above ground. Try to time your visit for a sunny day, as thick fog can obscure the view from the top on overcast days. You can wait for the morning mist to clear at the tower's rotating restaurant, which spins 360 degrees in just under 30 minutes. The tower welcomes nearly 1.5 million tourists each year, so be prepared for a long wait at the entrance. You can avoid standing in line by booking a fixed date and time of your visit on the tower's website. • Views of the city and its surroundings. The wait for the elevator is well managed. The panoramic bar is very nice. I recommend.

  • Engineered building built in the 60 's. It is possible to climb with a ticket bought on the spot to admire the view of the city from above. Waiting time still quite long. Accesses well organized with indication of hours of climbing.

  • as building and only impresses. Seen from far away and can help for your orientation in the city since it is located in the Alexander Platz. Beyond this nothing special external, fairly minimal the whole picture at the base of the tower. One photo but is necessary. Located next to the Town Hall and the central station subway, trains, etc

  • If you want the looks, ok.... go..... but get your drink somewhere else..... expensive and low-average drinks....
  • A drink with a view to make you dizzy :)
  • You heave some STUPID employers at your tower. Today i asked if i can take pictures from the tower using a TRIPOD, the cashier said YES. Now i want to get in the tower and the security man doesn't let me in with my tripod. Ho pays my bus ticket now? WORST THAN POOR
  • Big, reasonable amount of seating, but probably the slowest McDs I've been to. It knows itself and suitable for short visits. Delicious food and Nice staff.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
