Don't miss a chance to see the city from the dome of Berliner Dom, one of the region's major landmarks. This imposing structure stands as if frozen in time centuries ago. But the building actually suffered massive damage during World War II and underwent extensive renovation in 1994. The biggest church in the city, this Renaissance building serves not only as a Protestant house of worship but also as a concert hall and a museum. Inside, you can see a lavish marble altar and royal tombs. The organ, with more than 7,000 pipes, often plays a starring role in concerts. Pick up an audio guide at the entrance, or arrange for a private tour of the cathedral before you make the trip. Really recommend going all the way up to the Dom. It's a litlle bit small and it has some pretty old stairs but I assure you it's worth every step and every penny paid at the entrence. The museum and.... more »

The cathedral is very beautiful on the outside, and inside is simply magnificent. The entrance ticket costs 7 euros and includes a visit to the cathedral itself, the museum on the second floor, the observation deck and the crypt. As previously written, the decoration of the cathedral is amazing with its beauty, you can just drop into the museum for 10 minutes, no more. If you have the time, I advise you to additionally take an audio guide. A very interesting story about the creation of the cathedral, its decoration, rulers and history. Duration 1.5-2 hours. The cost of 4 euros. I was in no hurry, so 2.5 hours of time flew by unnoticed, but if you are in a hurry with your children, and in general "love with your eyes" and not with your "ears" then do not waste money. Just without an audio guide, you can skip interesting details of the decoration and not find out interesting historical facts. By the way, I really don’t advise you to come after 16 hours, so for those who arrived later at 17 hours they simply put us out of the cathedral, explaining that the service will begin at 18 hours and we need to prepare the hall. It was very unpleasant for people, as some bought tickets right at 16-55 and did not warn about it at the box office, and smiled silently at the outrage of tourists. Agree, I don’t really want to feel that you were stupidly bred for money. I hope my review will help you when planning your visit to this beautiful place.

Absolutely beautiful.. it is so serene and amazing. There are no right words to describe effect and beauty of this 1000s of year old cathedral. You can view entire Berlin city from top, if you are ready to step up more than 100 stairs in total. It is very near to museum island and walkable. It has a lake on one side and beautiful market around.
