See masterpieces from the treasury of one of the wealthiest Hungarian aristocratic families, the Esterházys, at Museum of Applied Arts. The museum houses a collection of furniture from Gothic to Biedermeier, textiles, glass, gold- and silverware, Turkish weapons, and aristocratic garments and jewelry. Look for a table decoration showing the triumph of Bacchus, which was made by famous Augsburg goldsmith Abraham I. Drentwett. The permanent exhibit features nearly 400 artworks, a selection of objects from Asian and Northern-African Islamic countries, and 17th- through 19th-century clocks and watches. The museum has been collecting Hungarian contemporary artworks since the 1950s. The building itself is a piece of art, with its green roof and the interior designed in Hindu, Mogul, and Islamic styles. One of the best place to see the beautiful art and which glorify the history of this place. Easily accessible by trams, metro and buses. Just three stops by metro from inner city. The most important place to visit if you are tourists and like to see great artistic works. Well deserved five star.

AMAZING. Both the interior and the external parts are breathtaking. Just go and enter the palace, it is absolutely worth it. Unfortunately, a bit away from the center.
