  • Thoroughly entertaining experience thanks to the lively antics of our guide Ishmael. Making your own chocolate from bean to bar is fascinating. We visited at an unsettled time in Nicaragua, but this w...  more »

  • The guide that showed us through some of the chocolate displays was top notch. He made it interesting for both adults and kids. You can see the steps from the cocoa pod to chocolate and everything in between. It even tells how it was a valuable bartering currency to ancient indigenous people of central America. They offer a selection of samples to taste as well as a cocoa cream for your skin. The gift/cafe shop has a excellent selection of cocoa and chocolate items to purchase. Even if your not a chocolate enthusiast it's a really neat place to see while in Granada. Oh ya, and white chocolate is real chocolate unlike some may believe 🍫
  • The guide lead a quick tour with samples of chocolate drinks and snacks. The guide made the tour entertaining! Great place to buy items to take back home such as chocolate coffee beans and any of the drinks. Also, amazing ice cream on a hot day!
  • The free tour is great and you do get lots of information from it as well as well as some hands on bean grinding with chanting. The tasting after is also quite delicious. The guys giving the tour are super enthusiastic keep everyone interested.
  • This place was so fun the kids could not stop talking about it. The man who gave us a tour of the museum was so great with the kids. He had them singing and doing activities together and testing out the chocolate it was amazing. He gave the adults some of the alcohol to try it was delicious. We made toasts and sang songs it was fabulous, highly recommend.
  • Love this place and the info they give you about how/where chocolate is grown! Not to mention the free samples! It's insanely expensive with small chocolate bars just under $5 each. Although for a few nice gifts, it's no big deal. They also have a beautiful hotel with a lovely pool and even if you aren't staying there, you can pay 4 day use of the facilities. Kind of wishing I had done that!
