Guadalupe Church, Granada

Architectural Building · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Visit Guadalupe Church, which was originally built in the 17th-century, and still bears marks from battles that occurred throughout the 19th-century. It was originally built between 1624 and 1626, however, it suffered major damage and was rebuilt throughout its turbulent lifetime. A small set of stairs lead up to the church. The front features three tall wooden doors, two bell towers flanking either side of the main facade, and a central dome located toward the rear of the structure. Head up to one of the bell towers and take in views over the city out toward the sea. • I’ve lived on the corner in front of this church for years. Great place for an incredible photo at sunrise when the sunrises and shines on the church. Beautiful inside as well  more »
  • Couldn't find steps to tower, so I hope that you look better than me if you are reading this. There were a couple of people praying and children playing but def not as the main church.  more »
  • Nice old church with a beautiful little park in front.
  • Authentic Catholic Cathedral. We stopped for some rest. Very peaceful. local pepple coming to worship. Not colorful and painted on the outside. Just grey concrete. But the inside was beautiful. No charge to enter.
