  • This little museum is a 40 minute stroll down the road to Machu Picchu and well worth visiting before the main show. There are several artifacts- some discovered as recently as 2004. The history of th...  more »

  • It is a museum located on the mountain where you get only stepped in where you can find a path that is worthwhile to go since you will find landscapes worthy of enjoying. Although it is small account with sufficient information to meet this exceptional culture. Even if they are only photos or graphics are clear and by the same ticket you enter the Botanical Garden which is next to the Museum. The entrance is paid at the Museum.

  • Great information on the history and restoration of Machu Picchu
  • When you hike down back into town you'll pass this museum. It's nice, nothing speciale though.
  • A little gem of a museum, tucked away outside of town. I would not have found it had I not hiked up to Machu Picchu. Informative and clean. For s/.21 (~$6.30 USD), it's well worth the price of admission.
  • Very nice museum, little and in my opinion is worth a visit before going to Machu Picchu
  • Nice little spot just outside the entrance to machu pichu. For 22 sols or about $7, it's a nice overview of machu pichu and the history of the people. Took about 45 minutes to walk through and about 20 minutes to walk there from town. Well worth the trip the day before going up to the ruins.
