A contemporary museum and cultural arts center, CaixaForum Barcelona presents an array of exhibits on ancient, modern, and contemporary art inside a formerly abandoned electrical station encased in oxidized cast iron. The permanent exhibit here explains the history and refurbishment of the museum, while the rotating exhibits--usually consisting of avant-garde and contemporary art--display painting, photography, video installations, and interactive works.
