  • There is a baggage inspection when entering. But admission is free. Once inside, there was an exhibition like a mini museum. It was also connected to the Archaeological Museum.

  • It’s definitely not very popular and in a state of repair. It was interesante to see the old printing machines but it has seen better days.  more »

  • The National Library of Spain is housed in a beautiful building and contains a world collection of books and other written materials. Pity it's not accessible to the general public and obviously mostly in Spanish. On the lover ground floor, there a public museum containing information about the history of writing and publications which does have a good amount of information in both English and Spanish. Worth visiting if you have a little extra time on your hands.
  • We visited to see the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition. Very much appreciated the friendly staff at the library who helped us navigate the exhibit. We arrived near closing time and did not have the opportunity to see the entire library. Would visit again.
