  • The collection of Banco Santander is formed by the collections that had several banks that have been merged or bought and the execution of various mortgage guarantees. It Has its strengths as it can be the numismatic collection or contemporary art. In spite of everything it has remarkable pieces like the Virgin Girl of Zurbarán and has achieved a coherent collection of antique painting.

  • I asked that this place be listed because the collection of works of art of the family Botín is very interesting and allows to have an overall view of the Spanish painting, mainly nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The highlight is the set of frescoes painted by J-M serves for the restaurant of the Waldorf Astoria and which illustrate various episodes of Quixote and in particular "Las Bodas de Camacho" (the wedding of....), these frescoes are so diverse that the young Rockefeller ordered the "murals" of the Rockefeller Center just inaugurated. Then Spain asked him to paint also for the headquarters of the League in Geneva. We also see paintings by Mir, Sorolla, Pradilla, Arroyo (recently deceased), Barceló, etc. And an extraordinary tapestry of Beauvais in a perfect state of conservation. Take the line 3 of the Metro ligero and get off at the station Cantabria then walk 200 m to the entrance where you will have to present a piece of identification, a shuttle will pick you up to drive you through a park planted with centenary olive trees absolutely magnificent to the exhibition halls where, at the end of the visit, she will come and look for you to accompany you to the beautiful glass cube in which beautiful trees grow. The whole tour is free and you can take the time you want to circulate inside.

  • They NEVER pick up the phone. I Call Banco Santander to ask for another possible, and they have no knowledge of it... That's no way to cater to the public.
