El Rastro Reviews
I had read the reviews before going and read about the crowds but we're from New York city and used to crowds. We got to the general area just after 1pm or so and for the first couple of blocks the... more »
Sure there are some lovely items to buy but after 10 minutes in the crowds I was done! Maybe better in the early morning? more »
Very busy street market! Every sunday sellers mount their stands and offer a variety of goods: clothes, antiquities, accessories, ornaments, even esoteric stuff! The shops and bars nearby are open and add value to tour visit. Looking for something original at a unbeatable price? This is your place! Watch out for your belongings and wallets: there are many policemen and it is an overall very safe place, but caution is advised.
Great market, lots of products but mostly imports. Huge selection of t-shirts, phone cases and accessories. The place itself is beautiful, lots of greenery and nice people. Unfortunately no street food but many restaurants nearby. Really recommend looking around, don't just rush it. Walk around have a look, talk to people.
