Explore collections of post-impressionist and early 20th-century art at Museo Sorolla. Opened in 1962, the museum is dedicated to the work of Joaquín Sorolla, a prominent Spanish painter who was known for his portraits and landscapes. Wander through the artist’s studio and home admiring some of his most famous paintings or relax in the light-filled gardens that inspired much of his work. Pick up an audio guide from the front desk to learn more about the artist’s life and the Impressionist period. The museum is free to the public on Sundays. Nice, small museum. Sorolla is popular amongst the spaniards, so be prepared to queue if you plan to visit during national holidays. Recommended. more »

Superb museum! If impressionists are among your favorite painters you have to visit Sorolla where he lived with his family. Beautiful house full of great paintings and surrounded by peaceful gardens where apprentices try hard everyday to become the next great Spanish painter. I highly recommend to treat yourself with this experience. I believe that you won't regret it

The museum is his home. It is so intimate and warm. Not to mention free! The courtyards are lovely too. Stocked with beautiful paintings and sculptures, as well as antique furniture.
