Packed with exotic plants and animals, Palmitos Park is a 20 hectare (49 acre) botanic garden and aviary located just a short drive from the island’s popular beaches. The big appeal of this park is its great wealth of cacti and succulents, with over 160 different cactus types and nearly 1,000 palm trees of 42 varieties. The park houses over 1,500 exotic birds, representing about 230 different species. Hummingbirds, swans, ducks, parrots, crocodiles, and monkeys may be the park’s most popular residents, but you can also choose to visit the aquarium, noted for its large fish and coral displays and daily dolphin shows. This park is also home to Europe’s biggest butterfly house. As you near the exit, visit the park’s souvenir shop. Palmitos Park reviews
Super well maintained park with beautiful flowers and plants. Enclosures had a natural look to them and fitted right into the landscape. Nice diverse animal collection and animals seemed very... more »
The park is great although not all attractions were available due to Covid. We saw twice the dolphin show which is fantastic. Palmitos Park is one of the best places to visit in Gran Canaria. more »
This was a fantastic place to go with the family. The bird show was great and the birds were great to see flying out. The dolphin show was so well put together and rehearsed that it was faultless. Parrot show was a great laugh and again was faultless. Alot of time spent by the keepers and there is a great variety of other animals to see. The shop wasn't badly priced either again with a good selection to choose from.
I absolutely loved Palmitos Park! It's a great place for both families with children and singles. There's an opportunity to attend various animal shows such as parrot, Eagle or dolphin show which were excellent. I really liked the way you could enter a caged green area where parrots were and observe them from the close. Food was good too. I would highly recommend a visit to Palmitos Park for those who love wildlife and a bit of exotic greenery too!
