  • At the level of the two Cathedrals of Salamanca. With that, it's all said. On the outside, on their steps, students sit for a little time every day, among so many hours of study in between...

  • From how little you visit I stay with the cloister, really majestic. Very different from the other cloisters of the city, it is more stately and less monastic. The Magna Classroom is very much in line with the University. The pinacoteca on the life and work of the founder of the Jesuits did not satisfy me. Overall I found it a short visit (half an hour) for the price (3o and without discount for retirees). I was unhappy and disappointed.

  • Our 2019 Spain travel was filled with adventure, great food & wine and history. The Pontifical University of Salamanca has its own church and the altars are exquisite. These are positioned between the columns where Carrara marble plays a part on the grandiosity of the interior. The height of the ceiling, the narrow positioning of the altars, add to the magic of the building and we can either pray or reflect at each of these exquisite works of art. Why choose Salamanca? Salamanca is a beautiful and friendly city in the northwest of Spain, 212 km from Madrid, in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon. A small city of more than 160,000 inhabitants , its relatively large student population of approximately 35,000 gives the city a cosmopolitan, hospitable and pleasant edge. The University, founded in 1218, is the oldest in Spain and along with Paris, Oxford and Bologna, is one of the oldest in Europe. Salamanca is also home to numerous long-established and highly respected academies and learning centers of Spanish that boast a highly trained teaching staff. It is the perfect place to learn Spanish, to speak a proper, fluent, and accent-less Castilian in a friendly, warm atmosphere.. These are just some of the reasons why students choose Salamanca to learn Spanish. Visit Salamanca!
  • After 198 stairs you arrive to the top of the tower. The landscape is great and you can see all the city because you have a 360° view in several wonderful windows. The visit to the tower have a price of 3.75€ and have a timetable. Here you can visit the another monument the church but you need pay another ticket. Some hours they have guided visits too.
