This is a well maintained attraction but was lacking in exhibits. It seemed that visitors were just paying to enter the grounds to enjoy the scenery and perhaps have English tea in the café. Perhaps..... more »
If you have never had a real English tea experience, you have to go here. Best time was 2PM where it took 5 minutes to get a seat. View of the ocean from the outdoor brick balcony. Excellent service. Now, about the food and teas. An iced peach tea with pieces of pear apple floating around, and a glass teapot that looked like a sangria. The stack of deserts was really filling, easily enough for 3 people. Bought some blueberry and other tea from the shop next door. Good hike to get up the hill, maybe difficult for elderly folks.
Up on the mountain with an amazing view of the ocean. The building itself has a lot of history to it, as the old British consulate, the building still remains with the colonial look and feel to it. Must go to the cafe here, you can easily spend hours at the outdoor seating area, enjoying your tea while viewing the ocean. This place is also great for sunset viewing.
