  • In order: Cheow Lan Dam (Ratchaprapha, Khao Sok National Park, Surat Thani Province, Thailand) is a dam with a height of 100 m and a length of 800 m Cheow Lan Lake is a lake that appeared artificially. As a result of the construction of dams for HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION in 1982 year formed the reservoir. As a result of flooding (in some places the depth reaches more than 100 m) under water took several settlements. Area of watertable of the water of the Lake reaches Lan Cheow 180 sq.m. km (depending on the level of the reservoir). To provide jobs for the local population the Thai authorities suggested the population serve the dam or cater to tourists coming from all over the world. In the artificially formed "fiordah" houses were built on the water (SPA), where the boat transported tourists longtale to stay. With a level of comfort in rooms varies widely: from cheap bamboo without facilities in the House, to expensive with panoramic window, as in a wall with a view of the Lake and into the floor. With kingsize beds, air conditioning, shower, bathroom, toilet. For your money whatever you want.

  • We left our hotel in Krabi in the morning around 6:45, after about 1 h 30 drive (we opted for a private air-conditioned taxi) we arrived, little world, you have small traders, the toilet paid (100 bath) and then embark on a boat long-tailed to discover the rock formations and this expanse of water out of sight arrival on the edge of the jungle, we disembark, here also small point trade selling drinks, fruits etc. and starts then a trek of about 2.5 km in the jungle, he must not really be very sporty however it is very hot and humid under the trees, there are a lot of mosquitoes, it goes up and down, there is no path. came to the village floating we took a small break to embark on a bamboo raft (don't worry it may take 10 people) motor to go visit a very old cave of 220 million years, there also points up in the cave guide had specific lamps, limited visibility and no pictures with flash to finish we went to a floating village for lunch in a very nice location, in front of us a small island where we could see monkeys, wild pigs , and many others that I didn't know named you eyes, an impressive natural beauty. The Park is preserved by forest guards, the place is still clean

  • One of the best experiences I've had in Thailand. You have to see it to believe it. It's absolutely breathtaking.
  • If you are looking for an unforgatabke boat trip this is a must do. Its like being in a movie with paradisiac decors. You can book a tour and go around by boat and get some nice seafood when the trip is finish.
  • Small food stands and shops here. Clean restrooms. take a boat ride through the dam/lake! We didn't think it was worth it to stay on the lakehouses; they wanted to charge us 3000 baht total for boat ride there, one night stay, dinner and breakfast, and boat ride back the next day. so we paid 900 baht for a two people tour for two hours instead. It's 1800 to rent a private boat/guide for 2 hours. we drove all around the lake, stopped at a few viewpoints, and stopped at a lakehouse for a dip in the water. there is a restaurant there too if you want a bite to eat or something to drink. once we stopped there we had a chance to see the lakehouse rooms and we were glad we didnt spend the money to stay the night there! it was nice, but not 3000 baht worth.
  • Amazing views on the lake! A must do if you like nature.
  • Take a boat to an amazingly beautiful place!
