Cheow Lan Lake represents a huge structure responsible for the creation of Cheow Larn Lake, popular for its scenery and recreational activities. Limestone outcrops and cliffs tower against the sides of the lake covered by dense jungles. Hike through the forest and keep your eyes peeled for exotic animals and plants like elephants, monkeys, and the world’s largest flower, Rafflesia. You can also arrange fishing tours and try to catch a huge variety of species; try staying overnight on a floating bungalow. Down to the fabulous along the way, some very clear water, pretty much straight and there will be that each is different and there is privacy.

As a result of the construction of dams for HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION in 1982 year formed the reservoir. As a result of flooding (in some places the depth reaches more than 100 m) under water took several settlements. Area of watertable of the water of the Lake reaches Lan Cheow 180 sq.m. km (depending on the level of the reservoir). To provide jobs for the local population the Thai authorities suggested the population serve the dam or cater to tourists coming from all over the world. In the artificially formed "fiordah" houses were built on the water (SPA), where the boat transported tourists longtale to stay. With a level of comfort in rooms varies widely: from cheap bamboo without facilities in the House, to expensive with panoramic window, as in a wall with a view of the Lake and into the floor. With kingsize beds, air conditioning, shower, bathroom, toilet. For your money whatever you want.

The Park is preserved by forest guards, the place is still clean
One of the best experiences I've had in Thailand. You have to see it to believe it. It's absolutely breathtaking.
If you are looking for an unforgatabke boat trip this is a must do. Its like being in a movie with paradisiac decors. You can book a tour and go around by boat and get some nice seafood when the trip is finish.
Small food stands and shops here. Clean restrooms. take a boat ride through the dam/lake! We didn't think it was worth it to stay on the lakehouses; they wanted to charge us 3000 baht total for boat ride there, one night stay, dinner and breakfast, and boat ride back the next day. so we paid 900 baht for a two people tour for two hours instead. It's 1800 to rent a private boat/guide for 2 hours. we drove all around the lake, stopped at a few viewpoints, and stopped at a lakehouse for a dip in the water. there is a restaurant there too if you want a bite to eat or something to drink. once we stopped there we had a chance to see the lakehouse rooms and we were glad we didnt spend the money to stay the night there! it was nice, but not 3000 baht worth.
Amazing views on the lake! A must do if you like nature.
Khao Sok with South Siam Adventure, great experience, boat trip, swimming in the lake, hiking to the Coral Cave, great tasty lunch
