Buy fruits, vegetables, sweets, and clothes at Albert Cuyp Market, the largest street market in the capital city. Following a tradition since 1904, vendors in 300 stalls sell a wide range of products bursting with colors and smells. You can get anything from fish and cameras to makeup and spices. In addition, the prices are usually lower than at regular shops. Look for typical products from Africa and the Middle East, and quench your thirst at some of the numerous ethnic cafes and bars that surround the market. Albert Cuyp Market reviews

Excellent market. Everything is very fresh and there's a wide variety of things to buy. I would come again! more »
Mostly stalls with imported mass produced clothing, bags, shoes etc, a few fish stalls, one true Dutch herring stall, and the best- some fresh flower stalls, mostly towards the end of the week. Some stall holders nice, some really rude.. More interesting shops in the vicinity.
This is a good market, but relatively small and standard in its offering. There are a decent number of food stalls on offer, but nothing spectacularly unique or interesting. If you are getting a bite to eat here, not all stalls offer seating, so be prepared to eat on the go. It's a good way to while away an hour or two.
