Singapore, Singapore to Hualien is an approximately 11- hour combination of flight and train. You can also do a combination of flight, bus, and train; or fly. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Sun) early enough to catch the train to New Taipei.

Xinbei, also known as New Taipei City, stands as a newly founded part of the wider Taipei metropolitan area, stretching up from the capital to the island's northern coast.
Step out of New Taipei to go to Shilin and see National Palace Museum, which is approximately 42 minutes away. There's lots more to do: learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Taipei Zoo, don't miss a visit to National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, browse the different shops at Taipei 101, and take in the dramatic natural features at YehLiu Geopark.

You can take a train from Hualien to New Taipei in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In March, daily temperatures in New Taipei can reach 25°C, while at night they dip to 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Wed) early enough to drive to Nantou.

Nantou

Nantou ©
Nantou provides good access to the cultural and natural sites of the surrounding county of the same name.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Thu): relax in the rural setting at Wv Siv Farm and then contemplate the waterfront views at Sun Moon Lake. On the 13th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Jinlong Mountain.

Traveling by car from New Taipei to Nantou takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In March, daily temperatures in Nantou can reach 25°C, while at night they dip to 16°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Hengchun.

Hengchun

Located on the southern tip of the eponymous peninsula, Hengchun serves as the entry point to Kenting National Park, often attracting more travelers than locals with its tropical beach resorts and bustling night markets.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Sat): enjoy the sand and surf at Shadao Ecological Reserve and then get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium.

Traveling by car from Nantou to Hengchun takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train; or take a train. Traveling from Nantou in March, expect Hengchun to be a bit warmer, temps between 31°C and 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Kaohsiung.

A small trading town in the 17th century, Kaohsiung now stands as a sprawling metropolis, its harbor representing the largest on the island.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Sun): examine the collection at Chimei Museum and then browse the different shops at Taroko Park. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 16th (Mon): get outside with Ai He (Love River), then don't miss a visit to Dragon Tiger Tower, and then take in the exciting artwork at The Pier-2 Art Centre.
