The country's smallest city in terms of population, Kilkenny boasts a rich cultural heritage and diverse tourist attractions that include well-preserved medieval architecture, exciting nightlife, a vibrant culinary scene, and abundant shopping opportunities.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Kilkenny Castle and The National 1798 Rebellion Centre. Venture out of the city with trips to Kia Ora Mini Farm (in Gorey), Curracloe Beach (in Curracloe) and King of the Vikings VR (in Waterford). And it doesn't end there: head outdoors with Go With The Flow - River Adventures, take in the spiritual surroundings of Jerpoint Abbey, and get engrossed in the history at Irish National Heritage Park.

Traveling by car from Kilkenny to Dingle takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or take a bus. In August, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 12th (Mon) so you can go by car to Liscannor.

Liscannor is a coastal village in County Clare, Ireland.GeographyLying on the west coast of Ireland, on Liscannor Bay, the village is located on the R478 road between Lahinch, to the east, and Doolin, to the north. Start off your visit on the 13th (Tue): stroll through Cliffs of Moher, explore the striking landscape of Burren National Park, and then head off the coast to Scattery Island. On the next day, contemplate the long history of Poulnabrone Dolmen, then take in the dramatic natural features at The Burren, and then Head underground at Aillwee Cave.
