Situated in a basin between two mountain ranges, Taipei appeals to tourists with its blend of Asian cultures, living side by side amidst Japanese-era mansions and Taoist temples.
You've added Shifen Old Street, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Elephant Mountain (aka Nangang District Hiking Trail), and other attractions to your itinerary. On the 29th (Sun), get engrossed in the history at National Palace Museum and then take a stroll through Ximending. Here are some ideas for day two: witness a stunning natural landmark at Beitou Hot Spring, appreciate the history behind National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, then learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Taipei Zoo, then catch a live performance at Huashan 1914 Creative Park, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Lungshan Temple.
