Along the Dalmation Coast, the city of Dubrovnik has become famous for its pedestrian-only Old Town surrounded by fortress walls, and its historical heft has earned it World Heritage Site status.
Get some historical perspective at Walls of Dubrovnik and Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Step out of Dubrovnik with an excursion to Cavtat Old Town in Cavtat--about 34 minutes away. Dedicate the 28th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through Old Town, steep yourself in history at Fort Imperial, take an in-depth tour of Upper Corner Tower Foundry Museum, and head off the coast to Island of Lokrum.
