Along the Dalmation Coast, the city of Dubrovnik has become famous for its pedestrian-only Old Town surrounded by fortress walls, and its historical heft has earned it World Heritage Site status.
Dubrovnik City Walls and Church of Saint Blaise will appeal to history buffs. When in Dubrovnik, make a side trip to see Cavtat Old Town in Cavtat, approximately Cavtat away. Dedicate the 28th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. And it doesn't end there: head off the coast to Lokrum Island, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, see the interesting displays at War Photo Limited, and enjoy breathtaking views from Upper Corner Tower Foundry Museum.
