Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Step out of Lisbon to go to Sintra and see Quinta da Regaleira, which is approximately 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, snap pictures at Ponte 25 de Abril, wander the streets of Alfama, and step into the grandiose world of Castelo de S.
