Pearl of the Danube

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Venture out of the city with trips to Tata (Derito Lake & Agostyan Arboretum), Turul Monument (in Tatabanya) and Eger (Torok Kori Minaret, Eger Castle, &more). On the 14th (Sat), spend a day exploring the natural beauty of Palatinus Strandfürdő. On the 8th (Sun), plan a day focused around Pannonhalma Archabbey. Next up on the itinerary: ponder the world of politics at Hungarian Parliament Building, explore the world behind art at Hungarian National Gallery (Magyar Nemzeti Galeria), see the interesting displays at House of Terror Museum, and contemplate the long history of Matthias Church.

If you are flying in from Philippines, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. In July in Budapest, expect temperatures between 33°C during the day and 18°C at night.
