Sprawling, busy, and central to the nation's economy, Karachi stands as one of the biggest and most populous cities in the world.
For shopping fun, head to Dolmen Mall Clifton or Park Towers. Visiting Clifton Beach and Safari Park will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Karachi side-trips: Thatta (Makli Hill & Haleji Lake). The country's capital since 1963, Islamabad has the look and feel of a planned administrative city because, by and large, that's exactly what it is.
Faisal Mosque and Saidpur Village are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at The Centaurus Mall and The Raja Bazaar. Change things up with these side-trips from Islamabad: Rawalpindi (Nila Sand & Ayub National Park). Spend the 19th (Fri) exploring nature at Khunjerab National Park.
