Venture out of the city with trips to Pairi Daiza (in Brugelette), Tyne Cot Cemetery (in Zonnebeke) and Menin Gate Memorial (in Ieper (Ypres)). There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Grand Place, find something for the whole family at Mini-Europe, brush up on your military savvy at Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and of Military History, and see the interesting displays at Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique.
