Xinbei, also known as New Taipei City, stands as a newly founded part of the wider Taipei metropolitan area, stretching up from the capital to the island's northern coast.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Thu): buy something for everyone on your list at Taipei 101, don't miss a visit to Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street), and then examine the collection at Gold Museum, New Taipei Government. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate the long history of Heritage And Culture Education Center Of Taipei, take in the spiritual surroundings of Lungshan Temple, then make a trip to U-mkt, and finally get engrossed in the history at National Palace Museum.

Singapore, Singapore to New Taipei is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of car and ferry. Traveling from Singapore in March, things will get a bit cooler in New Taipei: highs are around 25°C and lows about 17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Fri) so you can go by car to Nantou.

Kick off your visit on the 21st (Sat): wander the streets of Dongpubu Nongbuluo, then take in the awesome beauty at Ali Mountain (Alishan), and then take a stroll through Checheng Logging Exhibition Hall. On your second day here, appreciate the extensive heritage of Lugang Old Street, steep yourself in history at Lukang, then don't miss a visit to Rainbow Village Taichung, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Pusasi.

Traveling by car from New Taipei to Nantou takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In March, daytime highs in Nantou are 25°C, while nighttime lows are 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sun) early enough to drive to Hengchun.

Located on the southern tip of the eponymous peninsula, Hengchun serves as the entry point to Kenting National Park, often attracting more travelers than locals with its tropical beach resorts and bustling night markets.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Mon): stop by Fu'an Temple and then examine the collection at National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium. Keep things going the next day: explore the wealth of natural beauty at Kenting National Park and then discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

Drive from Nantou to Hengchun in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or take a train. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Nantou in March, with highs in Hengchun at 31°C and lows at 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Kaohsiung.
