  • I have been to mass from biased and without many expectations and instead was a pleasant surprise. I attended a somber ceremony, heard and participated in a church in a certain fascination. albeit in one of the richest and most opulent in new york I breathed a good air. "the masses are frequent.

  • Very beautiful building! Looks like something you would see in Europe vs New York. Have never attended a Mass here, but can imagine that must be equally impressive.  more »

  • Absolutely beautiful. From the tall buildings, busy hustling people and chaotic traffic, here is this beautiful church smacked right on 5th Ave. The architect is amazing with detailed throughout the church. Once you walk in , the peace and quiet inside, you don't even hear the noise and traffic. I think my mouth just dropped just looking around. There are so much rich history. If you ever plan to visit NYC, this is definitely a must to visit. If you are not even Catholic, all religion are always welcome. You will not be disappointed.
  • Very beautiful church, the art work in here is just amazing. This is a very well visited church obviously sitting right next to Saks fifth avenue. Alot of seating for Mass. Christmas Mass was amazing and a great experience and would definitely return when in the area again. Definitely a must see while in New York City.
  • This is one of the grandest building I've ever seen. The staff is very friendly it made me feel welcome. I had a great visit at this holy place.
  • Beautiful and graceful. Worth visiting even if you aren’t a Catholic. It was very crowded when I visited with lots of people looking around. There was mass going on while I was there and the music was beautiful.
  • I was here for Christmas Midnight Mass 2015, and for an Organ Recital at the end of 2017. This cathedral is beautiful in every sense of the word. His Eminence is a charismatic speaker, who's homily should be listed to by more people. Even if you are not Catholic or Christian, you should visit this cathedral for the architecture alone.

Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.
