  • Here we have to take a ride with calm because it is too big and the desire to see everything. Each room with a surprise. Reserve at least half time and when you are tired knife a break for coffee.

  • It's a unique experience. This place is huge! Wear your walking shoes. The staff was very friendly and helpful unless you touch something on display. It wasn't me... Saw a lady get shaped up real quick for it. The price is pay what you want but they do have guidelines to give you an idea. Family friendly.
  • Absolutely amazing experience. There was so much to see and it was all actually worth stopping to look at. I'd love to go again and see the rest of it, which is a testament to the value of the ticket. The rooftop garden/lookout/little cafe type thing was also beautiful.
  • I would have loved to go to the met but unfortunately I was completely turned off by this extremely rude older staff memeber. He treated my boyfriend and I like complete idiots when we asked him a simple question about how to get to a certain part of the place. Due to his attitude we decided to never return. Only go to the met if you want to be treated rudely. The Whitney was amazing and the staff members there were super nice and helpful. Obviously not the same but at least the experience was amazing. Both my boyfriend and I have been to the Louvre in Paris and had amazing experiences so we're expecting similar from at least the staff at he met. Extremely disappointed.
  • Amazing museum. You'll need several full days to get a good feel for the place. We've been five times now, and I'm just starting to get familiar with where things are. The best part is the Egyptian wing, followed by the Greek wing. See if you can find the electrum vase.
  • This is an incredible museum with art from many famous painters from different countries and time periods. I have been to the museum twice and spent a lot of time there both times and I still have not truly experienced the whole museum. Spend a full day there if you can.

Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.
