Tiffany & Co., New York City

Admire glamorous jewelry and pick up something extra special at Tiffany & Co.. The iconic one-stop shop for luxury accessories is most noted for its diamonds. In fact, a gemologist from the company played an important role in creating the metric carat as the standard weight measurement for gemstones. Be sure to admire the glittering window displays before you enter. In the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's," Holly Golightly, played by Audrey Hepburn, had a habit of visiting the window displays with a pastry in hand. • Iconic jeweler. You can buy jewelry, register for wedding gifts and baby gifts and even dine here. Soup to nuts. Tiffany has launched a few lines in silver the last 15 years which are less expensive and appeal to the masses (not high end design). Tiffany has become more accessible and less exclusive. The sales folks are nice and attentive. They work on commission. It is always nice to receive a gift in the robin's egg blue box.....
  • This place was amazing! I got exceptional service in there! Honestly as a BLACK woman in NY I wasn’t expecting such good service. Friendly smiles, recommendations, excellent customer service! I’ll definitely be visiting again soon
  • Absolutely fabulous. Ate at Blue Box Cafe'! Loved the tea service & dessert tower. My daughter loved the chicken salad & a drink with melon in it. Service was spectacular.
  • Poor service, not enough staff behind the counters. Most of the staff seemed to be wandering around full of there own self importance, rather than looking after customers. Left after waiting for 30 minutes, went across the road to LV, fantastic staff and shopped up a storm there.
  • Thank you tiffany for the amazing experience the employees were amazing and the staff was very clean and nice I love the smell and the environment was very pleasant the place was like a haven nothing could touch me or anyone at that matter I love the place very much I love you all keep up the good work!!!

Where to stay in New York City

The first step to finding accommodations in New York City is finding the right neighborhood. Manhattan, where most visitors end up, offers some of the most expensive rooms in the world, though there are lower-budget options, such as hostels with shared restrooms. Reduce your costs by basing yourself in one of the outer boroughs, but beware of low-end motels where you may end up sharing the premises with hourly customers. Alternatively, stay along the New Jersey shore, offering all the major chain hotels at considerably lower prices than their Manhattan equivalents.
