Highly recommended for the guided tour. It's interesting to explore the unique history of the brewery and different types of beers with a glass on hand. Michael is very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are English speaking, watch out the schedule. There are limited slots for English tour. Have a lunch after the tour at the restaurant or beer garden. It is a popular eatery. Nice food and reasonable price.

This was a real gem to stumble on literally across the road from where we were staying in Salzburg! Have had Steigl beers before in the UK but it was nice to actually try some from the Brewery and they have a really wide selection of beers on that are all very very good. The best thing about this place though was the food, I've been and eaten at a lot of places around Europe but I have to say this was probably some of the best food I have ever had, the food was absolutely stunning, such hearty food with lots of meat. A must visit if you are in Salzburg.
