Create an itinerary including Rathaus
The capital city's Neo-Gothic city hall, Rathaus, serves as the house of municipal government. Built between the 1872 and 1883 by Friedrich Schmidt, the building resembles a Gothic cathedral. Front and center is the 98 m (321 ft) tall tower with the statue of a medieval knight perched on top. Rathausmann, who has become an icon of Vienna, is inspired by the armor of Emperor Maximilian I. Climb 331 steps to reach the top of city hall's tower and take in the view of Vienna below. Inside, explore the council chamber, festival hall, senate chamber, grand staircase, stone halls, and coat of arms halls. Audio guides are available in English. • Just a beautiful building that is worth seeing. I wasn't inside the town hall but even outside it make a very good impression.

  • The Vienna Rathaus is a stylish and elegant building, constructed in the 1870s and 1880s during the big building boom of Vienna. It has five towers, including the central tower that soars 98 meters...

  • Didn't get a chance to enter inside. It is for a guided tour only. In summer they have the film festival outside , if you like a film in the event with food , it might be a good option for you. P.S. this film festival is not like independent films more for documentaries.
  • The place is truly beautiful and provides free tours that are really interesting and easy to follow. Also, there are free brochures of many different kinds as well as magazines that visitors can just take in order to learn more about Vienna.
