Founded in 1987, the MMOBA collection found its permanent home in 2008 when a 19th century arrowroot factory was restored and converted into a bright and airy art gallery. Roam along the halls to find an ever-changing display of works, ranging from Georgia O’Keeffe and Henry Moore, to local Bermudian artists and the work of the current artist in residence. Upstairs, a cosy reading room offers a quiet corner to enjoy a vast selection of literature. The “Arrowroot Gift Shop” has an array of ornate souvenirs, and the gallery cafe provides a tranquil spot for a tasty drink. Very nice Bermudian art museum. Was glad we went! The entry price is now $10 and there is no cafe, but it was well worth the money and time (about an hour). Really nice!

Small museum but worth the time. Mostly paintings and great gift shop. The surrounding Botanical Gardens gave us a nice morning activity.

Went here in conjunction with visiting the Botanical Gardens. Enjoyed the artwork and was thrilled to meet an artist who's work I'd seen elsewhere on the island volunteering here--chatting via email and will be purchasing from her--Jessica Mapstone.

The botanical garden was beautiful and peaceful, the gallery was nice. Small exhibits with beautiful pieces - guess we have been spoiled by the Art Gallery of Ontario.
