Create an itinerary including Tobacco Bay
Head down to an active and historic stretch of Bermuda's coast at Tobacco Bay. Rental shacks supply gear for a variety of water sports and activities, including paddleboarding, snorkeling, and kayaking. Cool off in the relaxing onsite restaurant and cafe, serving up locally caught fish and cold beer. Although now exclusively a place of recreation and relaxation, this spot has also had a role in historical events: a group of Bermudians sympathetic to the American independence movement stole gunpowder from the British in St. George's and loaded it onto ships at the bay. With our international travel planner, St. George attractions like Tobacco Bay can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Tobacco Bay in St. Georges, Bermuda is one of the most popular beaches on the island. In the summer it is full of activities - beachside pool table, Crown and Anchor board, bar, restaurant, live DJ and other games. There are bathroom and changing facilities. Perfect location for snorkeling and has some amazing natural rock formations. Take a a stroll along the road to the back of the main beach for more awesome sights. The beach is close to Fort St. Catherine, golf courses and the newest hotel just recently built asking side Fort St. Catherine Beach. I took these photos on a hot, winter off- season day. Also the beach is within picturesque walking distance from the Town of St. George.
  • One of the most beautiful beach we have ever visited! Don't miss it!
