Cesky Krumlov Castle
Dominating the surrounding city from its location on a high rock promontory, Cesky Krumlov Castle is a medieval complex of about 40 buildings, situated around five courtyards and a vast park. Dating back to the middle of the 13th century, the complex covers a total area of about 7 hectares (17 acres). The castle's atmospheric storerooms house a collection of stone statues and sacred art, accrued over the centuries by the city's many rulers. You can stroll through the grounds on your own, but access to some of the interior sections is by guided tour only. Check the website for opening hours and available tour options before you make the trip. A visit to Cesky Krumlov Castle represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Cesky Krumlov online attractions planner to plot your vacation.

So much history. Stories of the ages. Bears in the moat. There is an inside tour as well, but just visiting the four garden areas is enjoyable.

This place is the highlight of the city. I do recommend you to visit. Here you will see the city bird eyes view. When you are up hill at the castle you will see the amazing houses with red roof as a background and the river surrounding the old town area. It was very good remarkable memory. Very beautiful town.

Beautiful little city! Definitely worth a visit or a day trip from Prague. The castle is free to to walk around but going in requires admission. Also there are no cars in this part of town so you’ll have to park outside the gates or take a bus in.
