With seeing so many garnet shops in Prague, I was curious about this beautiful stone and was a bit skeptical about buying a piece of jewelry, with it possibly being glass and not a genuine garnet. On Google, I found the Garnet Museum. The museum included a short video, digging for a garnet, and displays. The ladies working there were very knowledgeable about the stone and gave pointers about have to tell the difference between a real vs. fake and also which were Bohemian Garnets vs. those that would be found around the world. I would recommend going here for educational, as well as, curiosity purposes. In the end, I bought a matching ring and earring set for myself and earrings for my daughter.

The museum is very informative and interesting. It’s great to learn something about Bohemian garnet. It’s clean and the jewelry is well-presented. The old jewelry looks amazing :) The information is available in many different languages and the personnel is very friendly and helpful!! The price is fine for the experience you get! I would recommend this museum at any time :)
