Best known for its tuxedoed inhabitants, Bluff Cove Lagoon provides a natural habitat for over 3,000 Gentoo penguins and a growing colony of King and Magellanic penguins. A small cropping of pristine beach shelters the lagoon, making a safe penguin haven. Get to the island by ferry to catch a glimpse of its penguin population, and explore at closer range with an ATV or Land Rover tour offered by many companies. A quaint cafe on site serves cakes, scones, and tea, and provides a viewing platform from which to watch the curious birds.
