Whalebone Arch, Stanley

Stop by Whalebone Arch, an eclectic monument a short walk from the pier. Situated in front of the town cathedral, the arch was erected in 1993 as a gift from the Falkland Islands Company to commemorate the centenary of British government on the islands. The monument, made out of jawbones belonging to two blue whales, makes a good photo so bring your camera. A flower garden surrounds the piece, so it acts as a great place to relax and imagine the size of the majestic blue whales.
