St. Michael's Church was built atop the highest of the seven hills in Bamburg in the 12th century. Follow the old, cobbled road up the hill from the cathedral, past ancient houses to the church, with all of Bamburg below you. Take some time to explore the surrounding woods and gardens. We came here after visiting St. Jacob's church. We knew that many things would be closed that day, including the beer museum, but we were a little surprised to see that the church itself was closed...
