Burg Hohenzollern is home to a wealth of Prussian artifacts--including a letter from U.S. President George Washington thanking Baron von Steuben for his service in the American Revolutionary War. It's also the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern family, who became German Emperors. The castle complex, chapels, and cellars can be explored independently. Look for the crown of Wilhelm II, plus King Frederick the Great's personal items. To see the interior rooms, you must take a guided tour (most are in German). The fort is amazing, I've never seen anything like it! It's massive and breathtaking! The interior and the furniture inside are mostly preserved, so you can experience the old Prussian luxury and elegance. There are also endless passages and staircases, the royal treasury is a must-see, and the bastion with a collection of weapons would be interesting to any history buff. And the photos don't do it justice, you won't be prepared for the magnificent view and the gigantic castle. Definitely worth the visit, you won't regret it!

Was able to see several spaces of the castle. Bring at night there was a Christmas light show going on - children really enjoyed it. The decorations didn't take away from the experience but rather enhanced it. The snow made for a beautiful touch. Recommend highly
