Triberger Waterfall is one of the highest falls in Germany. Visit the cascade to watch it flow 163 m (535 ft) down from the mountains through the town of Triberg. You can follow along the Gutach River as its splits into multiple smaller tributaries, enjoying the hilly, forested countryside around you. Feel free to wander any of the three sign-posted trails. You also may enjoy a stop at the waterfall's small, namesake village. The falls are illuminated after dark. Parking is available in Triberg. • I highly recommend going now during the fall when the leaves are changing colors. It is absolutely stunning. There are three parking areas, two small ones at the top and the middle…with the largest at the bottom. If you want a good hike up to get the blood flowing, park at the bottom. Parking is inexpensive. Bring coins.
  • We visited in October and it was a breathtaking walk. My children loved the playground before and after we took the shortest trek up to the falls. There are restrooms at the entrance. We would love to visit again.
