While touring the famed Jewish Quarter, don't miss Gozsdu Udvar, the bohemian heart of the area. Much more than simple passageways, the courtyards are surrounded with pavillion-style buildings, bars, and restaurants. Enjoy the specialties of Hungarian cuisine and the bustling night scene. Shop for handmade jewelry, leather goods, clothes, and other handicrafts at the small shops. Popular with both locals and tourists, the area regularly hosts outdoor exhibits, flea markets, and performances. This is a pedestrian area, but if you arrive by car, you can park on nearby streets. Put Gozsdu Udvar into our Budapest travel planning tool to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Budapest.

  • Part of the city with numerous restaurants and cafes. It has different offers, national cuisines, pizzerias, burgers, Japanese cuisine, etc. There are cocktail bars, beer pubs... The prices are a little higher than standard, but that is understandable for this part of the city. You can also just take a walk. it's mostly crowded, and some restaurants have unusual opening hours, for example only three or four hours in the afternoon... It's interesting
  • Cool place. There's a nice variety of spots. However, can feel a bit sketchy on quieter nights.
