Take time to visit the beautifully constructed Széchenyi Thermal Bath, the largest medicinal bath in Europe. The thermal water flowing at this spa comes from two springs and contains natural healing elements that are said to help lessen inflammation, joint illnesses, and other medical problems. Stunning Neo-Baroque buildings built in 1913 surround the outdoor pools, which are filled with steaming hot water. Watch locals playing chess, step into the indoor pools, take a seat in the saunas and steam rooms, or schedule a massage for the full spa experience. Make Széchenyi Thermal Bath a centerpiece of your Budapest vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Budapest driving holiday site.

The place was big with many baths with different temperatures. The baths are child friendly, meaning they are not deep nor dangerous. There are inside and outdoor pools. The outdoor pools had fountains and swirls, which was fun. We arrived in the morning and left in the evening and enjoyed every second. We also had a massage, which was very relaxing and super professional. The prices for massage were quite expensive compared to Hungarian prices. We also enjoyed a meal there. The meals were delicious but they served only in plastics and paper plates, which wasn't pleasant with chicken curry. Generally, we enjoyed this experience and would definitely come again for this.
This place is worth the hype! Tips: 1. I believe the best time to visit is is the morning. In the afternoon you'll have to wait in a long queue 2. Carry your own bath towel and slippers. Else you'll need to rent it over there. 3. Apart from the outdoor thermal Pools, there are more than 15 indoor pools with different medicinal properties. Do explore those. 4. There are multiple Saunas and steam rooms of different Temperatures. Make sure to bake your bodies in them and then jump into the cooler pools. 5. Follow tip number 1, and visit this complex in the morning when it's less crowded. 6. You can get massages over here, and again these get booked in the morning itself. 7. If by any chance you are not able to get inside or don't have enough time, visit the beer spa, which is a separate unit within this Complex.
