Trip Planner: Asia / Iraq / Erbil Province / Erbil / Erbil Civilization Museum
Learn the history of the Kurdish people from ancient times to the present day at Erbil Civilization Museum. Near the entrance you'll see a room with glass walls that holds large exhibits, such as centuries-old pottery. Proceed to the main building and explore the three sections arranged chronologically, all the way back to the Paleolithic age. Signs in three languages provide illuminating commentary. Don't miss the highlight, an exact replica of a Neanderthal skull found nearby, whose original is kept in Chicago. Make your Erbil itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.

Cute little museum in Erbil. Watch out for the timing as they are closed on Saturday unlike their timing on Google. We were not charged for entrance. Not sure if it was a lack of personnel or just free. It has 3 rooms with items dating from 6000 BC till 300 AD. It should take an hour max if you're being slow.
